Feed the birds…

These days, bird seed is more than tuppence a bag, though it’s a newfound pleasure to look out the kitchen window and see the three recently installed feeders serving seeds and suet to our friendly feathered neighbors.

I love standing by the kitchen window watching the avian activity. A peaceful way to start the day. We have seen male and female cardinals, red-bellied woodpeckers, California and house wrens, pine warblers, ruby-crowned kinglets, white-throated sparrows, tufted titmouses, white-breasted nuthatches, and more. Such variety, and the names are wonderful.
